Welcome to the Big Seeds room!

We would like to extend a warm welcome to you & your family. We look forward to developing a fantastic relationship with your family to provide the best care possible for you and your little one.

Ms.Stacey (7:30am- 4:30pm)  Three years ago, I moved from my hometown in Tennessee to be closer to my husband’s family. I was an Infant Teacher at my last job, for 15 years. I have several nieces & nephews I’ve been an active part of their life, since birth. I have been working with children of various ages for over 30 years.  Throughout this time, I realized that my heart lies with the little ones. I love providing a safe, warm, nurturing, & loving environment for your little one to learn & grow while in my care. I love to see their faces light up as they learn to feel safe & secure in our class to explore & learn new things. Outside the classroom, I enjoy trying new coffee shops, restaurants, movies & spending time with family.

Ms. Maria (8:00am- 5:30pm) Hello Big Seed families! I am super excited about meeting all of you and bonding with your little ones. Here is a little bit about me. I am from Bend and truly enjoy the fantastic community it provides. I am 21 years old. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, spending time with family, and working on acrylic nails! I am in my first year of working with children and being in the Big Seeds. I am attending COCC for Early Childhood Education, and  I can’t wait to continue gaining more experience! Kids need to have a good foundation in their early years because it helps them become the best version of themselves. From learning numbers and colors to being confident in themselves while having that security that they can accomplish anything they desire to do later on in life! It is an honor to be a part of a child’s journey through life.

Your Big Seed will need:

  • Diapers, wipes, and diaper cream
  • At least one complete change of clothes
  • Sleep sack/Blanket
  • Luvy or Binky if needed

(Please label your child’s items with name or initials)

Family Photo

We would love for you to bring in a family photo for our family tree so we can look at these & talk about them throughout the day..

What you can expect to see in Big Seeds:

The Big Seeds sleep on cots and use a blanket, sleep sack, and a lovey for naps. On a typical day, they will be down for a nap at 12 pm. We ask that you take the blankets home on Fridays to wash & return them when they return to school on Monday. We will focus on self-help skills, ie, independent handwashing, putting their coat on, using silverware, encouraging language, and meeting developmental milestones.

Each month, we will have a month-long: “Study.” These studies will incorporate books, art, songs, and ASL, that apply to the study. You can expect to see art, listen to songs, and figure out what they do with their hands as they sign.  That said, we will ease into things the first month & just focus on being comfortable & getting to know each other.

CommunicationRegarding communication, we will be using Brightwheel to log diapers, meals, and naps and check in and out of the center.  Messaging is available on the BW App for any questions or updates you would like to receive about your child.

We know leaving your little ones can be challenging, so we would love to help make the transition easier! Feel free to reach out at any point. We are here for you.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us. We look forward to working together to provide for your child’s needs to help them learn and grow. We look forward to a wonderful year together!

Warmly,

Ms. Stacey, & Ms.Maria
